Hey there!
You may already know a little about me. If you don't here are 10 bullet points.
1. My dad is Larry Coryell, jazz guitarist extraordinaire and one of the founding fathers of "Fusion" music.
2. I was one of the youngest (maybe THE youngest?) graduates of Berklee College of Music at 18 years old.
3. I sing, write, produce and play for myself AND others which is maybe why you only know me as a working guitarist, or a hummer and strummer, or even a songwriter/producer.
4. I'm not into this current generation of self promoting, sex tape making, celebrity dating, personal fragrance selling artists, which is why maybe you've never heard of me at all! I went to college and studied music, not PR which may also explain why some people think I keep a low profile. Truth is, my intention is to connect you with my MUSIC.
My personal life belongs to me (as yours does to you). I already have an awesome girlfriend and a handful of folks I call good friends so don't take it personal if I don't behave like some other web savvy artists out there who are comfortable and willing to self disclose everything to anyone and make plans to meet up for a drink (I don't drink!) and so on and so fourth. Besides, that's what Face Book is for!
5. Some of the many talented artists I've worked with: Aimee Mann, Leonard Cohen, Jewel, Madeleine Peyroux, Dave Brubeck, Billy Cobham, Michael Penn, Jim Boggia and Kazuya Yoshii.
6. There are 2 kinds of music. Good and Bad. I like the good kind, which is partially why my profile is lower than some! I also haven't had much success getting my jazz friends to see eye to eye with my pop/rock friends and vice versa which has left me frustrated 'cause I love 'em both!
7. I've released 3 jazz CDs, 3 singer/songwriter CDs, and 1 covers CD.
8. I'm also in an awesome funky jazz group called Coryell Auger Sample Trio!
9. In the last few years I've spent a-lot of time in Japan playing music there. I am not yet fluent in Japanese, but I'm working on it! Nihongo wa totemo muzukashii desu yo!
10. My latest CD is called "Profit and Loss", and it just about did me in making it, yet it will only take you 45 minutes to listen to it!
